February 27, 2008: Mercy Physician Group Opens
Family Medicine Clinic at Dallan Woods
NAMPA, ID - Mercy Medical Center announced today the opening of a new family medicine physician clinic in the Dallan Woods Marketplace in Nampa. Located at the corner of Midland Road and Roosevelt, the new Mercy Physician Group clinic will be home to five family medicine physicians. The clinic at Dallan Woods is one of several locations planned by Mercy Physician Group in response to the community's growing health care needs. The neighborhood clinic reflects an emerging trend in health care of decentralization of services. Studies have shown that bringing health care services directly into the neighborhoods where people live enhances access to care, health outcomes and community wellness.
Studies commissioned by Mercy Medical Center and data available from public sources were analyzed and showed a significant need of physicians in the local community. To help meet the need for additional physicians in the Nampa area, Mercy Medical Center developed the Mercy Physician Group to compliment the good work of other physician groups in Nampa. The new organization of Mercy Physician Group (MPG) was formed by Mercy Medical Center after employing two cardiologists, Drs. Peter Roan and Scott Hiatt. Mercy Physician Group's Cardiology Clinic was the first location opened, which is located on the southwest corner of the Mercy campus at 1524 12th Avenue Road, across from the Nampa Recreation Center.
Family medicine physicians Austin Graham, Brian Cothern, Bayo Crownson and Tricia Keefe have since joined Mercy Physician Group, and are currently accepting new patients. These highly qualified physicians will help to improve the access to care within our community and strengthen Mercy's ability to provide high quality health care to the residents of Nampa and the surrounding areas.

The new Mercy Physician Group location at Dallan Woods is a 6000 square foot clinic that includes 15 exam rooms, two procedure rooms and will house 5 Mercy Physician Group family medicine physicians. The clinic includes an onsite laboratory and X-ray, as well as seamless integration with the hospitals information systems, including electronic medical records and patient images.
